061/365 Common Blue butterfly Polyommatus icarus

Now March is underway, the first butterflies (Red Admirals and Brimstones) are starting to be seen on the warmer days.  It won’t be too long before butterflies are seen most days.  To celebrate the fact that butterfly photography is just around the corner, image no 061 is of a Common Blue butterfly.

Common Blue, Polyommatus icarus, Worcestershire, June, 2010.
