159/365 Great White Egret

One of my presentations I give to various groups is how to use different lenses to achieve different results.  Rather than using longer lenses to capture intimate close ups I decided to use the Canon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens to capture the behaviour of this group of egrets.  Although it is a dedicated macro lens you can still use this lens as a shorter focal length for capturing shots like these.  The f/2.8 aperture of the lens also gives you fast focussing which is essential in these fast action scenarios.
